Given the square footage and current student enrollment, can the Corden Porter site house that many students? And, at what cost to property owners? It was stated by a school board trustee that these schools cost 1.2 million dollars per year to maintain. That's a far cry from $15 MILLION! Of course, the board has to limit their dollar request to keep if from going to a referendum, but what do you want to bet there will be cost overruns? Keep these successful schools operating, doing what they've been doing best for decades . . . educating at risk students above state averages for about $600,000 per year each. That's 1.2 million dollars, a significant savings over GCCS proposed nonsense.
