This question is for anyone, but I really hope to get an answer or two from people who are from Sellersburg.

What are the iconic images and/or important places in Sellersburg? Important landmarks, places or images that tell the town's story, create a sense of place?

That's where my brain kept going, lol. Was hoping people have prettier associations that aren't in Speed rather than Sellersburg.

Here's a related question: if from there, do you make a distinction between the two?

Sir Danno's is a place I think of when I hear Sellersburg. It's a good local pizza place. Along with the BBQ Cowboy that sets up at the old coffee shop!

Essroc? I've heard there was an actual small town there in speed. Some places I remember.. 1st job at druthers, then elvis at the swift gas station. Also, when McDonald's opened... Man, I'm old.

Kelley, I'm afraid the answer is, "There are none." Sad, I know.

I could mention the Nook, but that would just give you an excuse to get all snarky about my age.

Goodness knows I don't need an excuse.

What/where is the Nook?

The Nook was a tiny restaurant, adjacent to Speed Park. It was the after-school hangout for the Creekers, and us horny Charlestown stud-muffins. Just saying.
