OK I don't post as much as I probably should but I am user #2 after our founder Supermike who has left for greener pastures.

This whole warning thing, while annoying, is something you can turn off in your browser settings. To be honest I'm not sure what caused more people to leave, the faux warning or the dueling stupid jpg contest during the last election.

For a site with traffic issues, I'm not sure 20 (or whatever it is) subforums is a good idea. I suggest a reorganization to put all threads into one of two subforums--one for (brain-dead political crap with no original thought) and another for (everything else relevant to Clark and Floyd counties).

Perhaps the wild atmosphere of Hey Martha is a thing of the past and the hours of devotion from Supermike are for nought.

Anyway, this is a check in thread. Who still checks in regularly?

I check in daily.  I still get the warning, so I just bypass it.

Internet Explorer and Firefox no longer show the warning page for me but Chrome does.  For those using Google Chrome:

Go into settings, then advanced settings, then uncheck “ protect you and your device from dangerous sites”  This will eliminate the red warning page.

This and Granny's similar thread shows there are several of us still visiting regularly, just not posting much content.

I'd suggest we just all try to post a little more, but if new people or less frequent visitors are still getting the warning, it may not go far to bring the site back to vibrancy.

I still come in here and see whats going on. Although the lack of conversation has about stopped, I think the warning is the main factor. If it can not be fixed then it is time to start a new site.

Starting a new site is possible, but I would need to discuss it with Quasar since he owns this site. We would also have to come up with a new forum name and find a site like https://proboards.com/ to start the new forum. Most of you know I have devoted hundreds of hours to the Chatter in the last 8 years. It feels like home and I hate seeing it go down the way it has. I'd be willing to try to help set up a new site.

Grrrr.
It's so hard to understand why this isn't fixable.
If it has to be done, I'd suggest a super similar name like "Clark County's Chatter."
