If some of you don't know there is legislation that would no longer require a permit for Indiana citizens to carry a weapon if they are legally allowed to do so.  The one thing I haven't seen mentioned is this.  States that require a permit and honor Indiana's permit will still require a person to have a permit.  So won't this put a big limit on carrying while traveling like millions do making it illegal to leave the state with your weapon in some cases ?

The license to carry a handgun will remain available for those who want to carry when traveling. This proposed new law won't change that.

Thanks for the info.  Good to know.

In addition to this effort, a congressman from NC introduced a bill in Congress yesterday calling for national reciprocity for concealed carry. This will mean that if you have a concealed carry license in your state, it must be recognized in all states.
