BTW, this maroon was adopted and raised by a "privileged" white family.

Here's a radical idea.

If you respect the flag and the national anthem of the United States of America, send an email to each of the networks that broadcast professional and collegiate sports requesting that they not show any player protests during their coverage. (You might want to CC the emails to the major sponsors, too.)

If these privileged a$$-hats are denied the limelight, their lame attempts at notoriety become moot.

Here's another radical idea.  If you respect the Constitution, you allow other thoughts to be expressed.

They can express their thoughts to their hearts content.

I would wager that Budweiser, Geico, et, al,, might influence how those meaningless, self-serving protests are covered by the networks.

Why play nation-state-worshipping songs at sporting events in the first place? If they just skipped it, then no one could use it to protest and you wouldn't get your feelings hurt.

WHY PLAY NATION-STATE-WORSHIPPING SONGS..............  Sounds like you don't like the Anthem of the United States of America.   Can you provide me with a REAL REASON to NOT play our National Anthem?  If you don't like the Anthem---LEAVE!

The best DA%# Country on the planet.  If you don't like it LEAVE, the door is right over there, DON'T LET IT HIT YOU IN THE A$$ ON THE WAY OUT.

I've always liked the national anthem, but then again, i never realized there was more to it, the 3rd verse to the national anthem... learning that, and it's meaning was enlightening. I can't fault him for protesting it.

I already gave a reason and it sounds like you are another person who got your feelings hurt. My thought was to keep protesters from upsetting you at silly sporting events.

It's done as a matter of respect.

Should we also stop flying the flag, because someone might burn it?

Should we cancel veterans day?, someone might be offended ya know.

Respect for ones country......

It's something, that some folks, will never understand.

I got an even better idea....lets force everyone at eighteen to go into the military for 2 years...if you don't make it 2 years then you can never vote or collect any form of public assistance.

"Police union asks deputies to not escort Dolphins until players stand for anthem"

Cops asked to not provide escorts to privileged a$$hats.

I agree.

I also agree with the police union not wanting to work off duty for those a$$hats.

Damnit!!

It ends with "one." No "of 'em" or any other such.

Stop it.

I've never really understood the "love it or leave it" point of view but I have to admit it lends a nice simplicity to political arguments:

You don't want to stand for the national anthem? LEAVE THE COUNTRY!

You don't want prayer in public schools? LEAVE THE COUNTRY!

You don't want higher taxes? LEAVE THE COUNTRY!

You don't like Obamacare? LEAVE THE COUNTRY!

You don't like Quasar's moderating? LEAVE THE COUNTRY!

I got an even better idea....lets force everyone at eighteen to go into the military for 2 years...if you don't make it 2 years then you can never vote or collect any form of public assistance.

You want military service to be compulsory? LEAVE THE COUNTRY!

What should people do if they don't think the country is great anymore?
