It would be interesting if they had divided the "employees" into teachers vs. administrative/support staff. If all this extra money would have been directed towards more teachers and smaller class sizes, perhaps the results would be different. But class sizes today are as large or larger than they were in 1970.
This chart also shows why spending millions on new buildings is not the answer. So glad the referendum failed by a 3 to 1 margin. Yet, the Board and Dr. Melin still want to spend $65 million without a referendum!
