It continues to amaze me at how casually this is treated.  With the amount of money being spent and the importance of the results, heads should roll.

Remember when the teachers constructed the test.  Whew!  They put us through our paces! 


Now we pay for-profit, giant corporations scads of $$$'s with little accountability on their part.  Their only concern is the accountability on the parts of teachers, students and parents.


Its all about the kids . . . right!

This is an excellent article. The only thing I would suggest is that the majority of the blame should rest squarely on the Indiana Department of Education. If you do any research, you will see that the contracts with the assessment companies are held there. Those contracts are not approved by the governor's office, state board, or the legislature. Contract administration and oversight belong at the IDOE.
