Next week, any dubious ballots would be decided on.

Congratulations to Calle Jahn. Have faith in our voting machines. I was unable to find fault with our election. Good luck to Joshua Rodriquez tomorrow. Steve Webb and Ron Ellis were gracious tonight as well. Thanks to my attorney, David Mosley for all his hard work. Dawn Elston hung around all night as well. Many hard working folks made this happen, Republicans as well as Democrat!

Ron was gracious? Is that part over too?

Has Charlestown been settled yet?

Had hoped these may flip.

Was hoping Lamaster would  lose.  He is useless on the council up there

Candidates, lawyers, volunteer counters, party chairs etc were there. Everyone worked together and got along to try to finish the recount. Mine is over as well as Lamasters. Today and Sunday is the at large. It was stopped today due to a conflict. A hearing will be Sunday with judge Adams.

He said the questions centered around differences in the way members of the eight bipartisan count teams were interpreting ballots where a voter may have voted a straight party ticket, but then voted mixed votes when it came to the Jeffersonville City Council At-large race.

Clark Circuit Court Monday.
Recount temporarily halted by agreement.
David Mosley for the D's and Larry Wilder for the R's!
Two exceptionally smart, high powered, very competent legal counselors!
They are agreeing on a lot.
However, they will seek
some clarifications of relevant Indiana statutes.

The eight bi-partisan recount teams were initially decided upon,
to accelerate the process, but that proved to be "unwieldy".....
Look for a much smaller group of actual vote counters,

and a more methodical process,
so the recount of the at-large races will  take some time.

Voter intent

One problem that has allegedly developed is that if a person

indicated that they wanted to cast  a straight ticket vote by filling in that arrow

and  then subsequently went down and voted for one candidate

at-large of the other party,

the machine may have counted votes for all three

of the at-large candidates

of the different party in the at-large races.

Intent and what actually is to be counted is defined by Indiana law.

The learned counselors will seek judicial clarification and guidance.

The third slot in the at-large race is very close among three candidates,

Webb, Ellis, and Rodriquez, with Rodriquez holding a narrow lead.

This could be interesting....

Fun Notation

to the erstwhile, nifty  Newsandtribune:

"In order to be, like,  really, really "Fair and Balanced",

it would be best  to get a nice photo of The Mose on line to go along with Larry's!

  :D

Andrew Adams! Geez!

This comment meant to shed light on Kelly not realizing it's the honorable Judge Adams, not anything negative towards him. He has done an excellent job!

Kelley knows who the guy is. The hard copy of the N&T article was the one confused.

The recount commission directed that the count begin again tomorrow with some new rules that

should eliminate some of the problems the parties ran into.  It also will have mostly new counters

and more limits on the access by others than counters, watchers and recount commission

personnel.

Pretty wonky stuff. But people seem to respect the fundamental process of trying to get the

best and most accurate count.

The way cool Newsandtribune
now is featuring photographs on line of
Larry Wilder and John Perkins in their recount coverage,
but the mighty local daily and online news source STILL has no online pic of David Mosley,

aka The GSL, or of Dawn Elston....

Come on!

Breakfast Club Recount Breaking News
Recount commission discusses changes for Jeffersonville City Council At-large recount
Recount to start at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday

Tuesday, December 15, 2015
By APRILE RICKERT

JEFFERSONVILLE — The procedures for finishing the Jeffersonville City Council At-large recount were finalized Tuesday and the recount began this morning.
The recount commission for the race met with attorneys and participants Tuesday and made final decisions on some of the issues that came up over the weekend.
The recount was stopped Saturday after four of the 30 precincts had been counted because there were questions as to how ballots were being interpreted, such as the correct way to handle a ballot when a voter had selected straight-party, but then in the At-large section made other selections, such as choosing only one candidate, or two from disparate parties.
Attorneys sought agreement as to how these should be interpreted — if only one is selected in the section, should the other two be given votes based on the party of the straight ballot, for instance.
The commission includes John Perkins, Charles Anthony Wadsworth and Nick Mobley as mechanic. The recount manager, Susan Clark, was only available to be in town for the previous weekend; Bubby Vissing is now the recount manager.
Attorneys Dawn Elston, David Mosley and Larry Wilder chose their counters and watchers.
