For those who might not know, there is a recently formed Clarksville Democrat Political Action Committee (Clarksville Democrat PAC).  When I first heard about it a short time ago, my hope was that it would be the beginning of an effort by new leaders to return some integrity and pride to my former party...especially after some of the very distasteful actions of the past.  Alas, the return of integrity and pride seems to have been kicked to the curb in favor of more of the nonsense of the past Old Democrat party.  It appears that New equals Old.  Is that a surprise?

Here' why:

The new Clarksville Democrat PAC sent out it's first mail piece.  It is laced with rumor, negative innuendo, and outright misstatement of facts (for you who tend not to be a little politically correct, a misstatement of fact is what you might call a lie).  The positions in the mail piece are entirely different from the positions the New Clarksville Democrats put forth in their so-called 'Contract with Clarksville'.  I had hoped for more moral uprightness from a 'new' Clarksville Democrat organization...alas, it seems it's not to be.  At this rate it will take a long time (if ever) to rebuild any sense of integrity and pride in my former Clarksville Democrat party.

Also, there have been many seemingly phony-baloney absentee ballot applications submitted to the clerk's office.  If the Dems aren't using Mike Marshall to guide the process, they seem to have learned well the shenanigans of his methods.

If the good, honest Democrats don't follow the lead of many others by voting Republican in order to send the message that the unacceptable behavior must stop, all of Clarksville will be the worse for it.

JMO as a former Democrat...

1). It's Libertarian.

2). It's Russell

3). I'm not a thief.

4). Nobody owns my vote or yours.

5). Nobody paid me to get in any race.

6). I'm going to get a lot more votes from those who drew a Democrat ballot than you think.

8). I'm in this to defeat both the Republican and Democrat candidates.

9). Thanks for the compliment. Your childish attack just proves I'm on the right track. Thank you.

I'll ask again, Sleepy...you seem to have missed my question earlier.

What are the lies on the cookie jar piece?  I did not receive the piece in my mail, but I was told that it had quotes from the newspaper.  Did the newspaper lie?  Who are you accusing of lying?  Or is this just another accusation without basis?  Why not post the mail piece on Chatter so we can all see it?  Thanks.

Maybe a "Pride" parade by the dems would help with their image?

Then again, maybe not............

No one was indicted.

I also don't believe someone running has multiple

conflicts of interest.  Please name them for us?

C'mon, don't beat around the bush.  Just tell us who you think lied, and about what.  What the he ll does 'indicted' have to do with anything?  Can't you focus enough to give a straight answer?  You must be hanging around deceptive politicians too much.

Sleepy,

If you believe there has been a lie from the Republican side, please let us know from whom it came from and when. I haven't seen or heard one and, once again, I am registered Democrat hoping to see some quality in a candidate. Right now Democrat integrity and trust is at an all time low in my house...

Sleepy, if you could be a tad bit more vague, perhaps that would help your cause? As it is now, I can barely decipher your innuendo and silliness, but If folks have no clue what it is your trying to get across, they won't be able to disprove your falsehoods.

although there is little that us on here can do to control the vote tomorrow, I am just not as convinced as to just what "vision" the new and other regurgitate candidate have for Clarksville. I haven't seen anything in writing that convinces me that a lot of thought has been put into it. I have seen a lot of thought being put into deceiving the voters. Plain and simple.

But, as you say....go vote tomorrow.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can do something to help the vote tomorrow. We all have 5 to 10 friends in our phone books that aren't going to vote tomorrow. If we all make a few calls and get just a few of them to vote tomorrow, it can make a difference. The people you call probably know a few also. If several people make a few calls, we can make a difference.

I cut and pasted this from another thread.
