I've been reading this forum for a few months now while my wife and I looked for a house in the area. We've now found a place and our offer was accepted, so we are hoping to become residents of Clark county around Thanksgiving.

I've learned a lot about the area by reading these fora and look forward to learning more.

Cool ... it's refreshing to have someone actually buying

a home to live in and not just a house for turnover value.

Welcome.

My first pleasant surprise has been finding out my car insurance premiums will drop significantly and the savings will almost cover the cost of the premiums for my homeowners insurance!

DA, Southern Indiana is a delightful place to live although some areas are more delightful than others....  You have just missed some breathtaking Fall colors and once you survive our chilly Winter, Spring is full of natural beauty and plenty of activities. If you like the outdoors, be sure to check out the Deam Lake / Clark State Forest area and Charlestown State Park.  Great trails and plenty of wildlife.  Welcome!
