... it'll be interesting to see how things unfold over the next few months...

Interesting in the same sense that watching one's own house burning down would be interesting.

The debate was shameful.  As Rand Paul noted, this discussion of killing families and innocents to achieve military goals is abhorrent to civilized people and would mean withdrawing from the Geneva Convention.  The disregard for basic rights would mean overturning the Constitution.  Until recently, such discussions are what might be expected on some reactionary fascist forum.   If we are not better than killing the innocent kin of those we dub to be terrorists, we are really, no better than any other two bit fascist society.

No thank you.

Combine that with the fact Trump had no idea what the nuclear triad was  or even what the words meant.

As Jeb Bush noted, this is 'crazy'.

That's not a good thing.

God I so desperately want to vote FOR somebody again. I don't even remember what that feels like. All I ever get to do is vote against people.

Muslim Migrants Batter Gay Man to Death, Wrap Snake Around His Neck
Victim taunted over his sexual orientation during brutal murder
Paul Joseph Watson
December 17, 2015

Two Muslim migrants in Sweden have been charged with the hate crime murder of a gay man

after they allegedly battered the victim to death

before dressing him up in women’s clothing

and wrapping a snake around his neck.

The two alleged perpetrators are 16-year-old and 19-year-old “refugees” from Morocco. According to prosecutors, the victim was deliberately targeted because of his sexuality. Morocco is 99.9% Muslim and being gay, lesbian or transgender is illegal with punishments of up to three years in prison.

Something needs to be done. Nothing I've heard from these so called candidates

has any basis in reality. People have forgotten what war is.

Targeting civilians does nothing but piss people off. (on all sides)

Nixon showed us that carpet bombing achieves nothing.

Any nuclear response is totally out of the question.

However, the surgical response being used now will not do anything either.

The US has not won a war since 1945. Why? Because we didn't set out to win.

Korea and Vietnam were wars of containment. We won neither.

The recent wars of regime change just served to destabilize the region.

The only exception would be Desert Storm which did achieve its objective.

(and that wasn't really a win ... just a reset)

I keep hearing that 'we will destroy ISIS'. No ... we won't.

Not with the methods we are using now. It's a waste of time and effort.

If we're going to destroy DAESH then we need to get serious about it.

And not just DAESH but al-Qaeda and the Taliban as well.

Civilians will die in war. Always have ... always will. Accept it.

Or are the only acceptable civilian deaths in France, the UK and the US?

_________________________________________________________________

And one thing that I have not seen addressed from the 'debate' -

“There are millions of peaceful Muslims across the world, like in India,” Cruz said.

Oh really? Like Mumbai? The Punjab?

These jokers just need to get back in their clown car and get the hell outta Dodge.

They are going to force me to vote for Clinton and I REALLY don't like that idea at all.

LP national chair Nicholas Sarwark:

Between killing families, bombing children, and carpet bombing cities, the theme of this last GOP debate appears to be war crimes and who is most prepared to commit them.

You are now seeing what all of the Political Correctness has achieved.

At some point you have to make tough decisions to right the ship.

If you put leadership in place that refuses to play games, you will get their attention.

When they see that the gamesmanship is over and they are facing a insurmountable foe things will change.

You have to crack some eggs to make an omelet.  You have to kick some butt to get their attention.

As long as the leader of the free world plays pity pat this chaos will continue.

Who exactly is Trump planning on making America great for? Me and you? Don't you believe it.

Putting his rich friends ahead of the common folk...

Trump won't be elected by political wonks. He has tapped into the workingman rage against the ruling elites that knows no party lines. Trump/Cruz is a formidable team garnering support from every demographic and that support is growing like a downhill snowball. A tsunami is coming in 2016. Don't believe it, just hide and watch.

I don't dispute that at all... I just don't see him as any different than Obama... Bush... Clinton...  etc... in that regard...

Now, before this gets censored, remember that I am only

saying that Trump is getting ready to get "beaten badly".

Nothing vulgar here.

While I'm not a fan...

It does crack me up that this guy has got so many people wetting themselves... AND most of them don't understand why Trump has such widespread appeal...

"you reap what you sow"... and all of the establishment whack jobs both past and present sowed many sections of voter rebellion...

I hope the establishment bastards choke on it...
