Thanks for this info SR.

No doubt Jeff has haints all over the place. Lots of

demonic spirits flying around.

Do you remember 'The Snake?"

Back in the eighties.  There was a haunted old mansion down by the railroad bridge on the riverbank.  They discovered a

body there. The person had been murdered. The killer left his signature in graffiti over the body.... "The SNAKE"

chills ....

Det. O'Keefe told me he'd always had a 'feeling' about that place.

"the SNAKE"  was eventually located, prosecuted and  CONVICTED.

His victim's spirit still haunts the riverbank.

I think I remember some of it.

It seems that Greaser was particularly spooked by it....

He did not like riding his Honda 750 past there at night and he utilized  snake repellant charms.....

Also, there was a witch that lived several doors down from his house on Maple  She was definitely scary....

Her hauntings were right across from an old funeral home that had been converted into a residence.

That was a beautiful old beige stone house if I remember correctly. I always loved it.

That ex-funeral home was up for sale a few years ago. Interesting house. Still has the entry way downstairs for the bodies to be unloaded if I remember correctly.

This may be urban legend, but wasn't there a murder at this location?

One of my sons used to have an apartment in the large 3 story house on Riverside Drive adjacent to the Big 4 (downriver side).  They lived on the second floor and regularly heard doors opening and footsteps in the unoccupied 3rd story.  Several times they heard footsteps on the stairs and would look and find no one there. His girlfriend said she saw a ghostly face in a third floor window once.

Doesn't one of the past mayors own that place?

It is a Rob Waiz property, but I doubt he put the ghost in there!

I lived there once upon a time.  Loved it, living on the river, walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go, and there was a river!

Never ran into any ghost, though.

The scariest moment I had there was seeing two guys on the bridge with binoculars aimed at my windows.  Creeps . . . stalkers, I didn't know.

Turns out it was my brothers, doing the wiring for WLRS and wanting lunch, could a sister help them out?  Of course, cheeky sister had to scope them out with binoculars to get the message.

I think the safest place, away from ghosts and such, is the courthouse.  There are so many

bad demons in there, no ghost will hang in there.

In the late 1800's a man was murdered where Trail 3 is now at Charlestown State Park.

The will retell the story this Saturday as part of their Halloween programs.

Weather the trails haunted or not, IDK.

I spent a night at the Culbertson and spent a lot of time sitting in the 'childs cage' waiting for something to happen.  Nothing did.

Exorcism: Live! airs Oct. 30 at 9 p.m.

on Destination America.

'There's Something Dark at This House'

What's haunting the house that inspired The Exorcist? Psychic medium Chip Coffey has an idea.

"They're demons," he says in an exclusive preview for the upcoming Exorcism: Live!, a special that will broadcast Coffee, Bishop James Long and the Tennessee Wraith Chasers trying to cleanse the home outside of St. Louis. "They're Satan's minions. They're his worker bees, his drones."

The night before Halloween, Coffey is tasked with conducting a séance with whatever is possessing the house – and he says the worst-case scenario is that "all hell will break loose" during the first-ever live exorcism on TV.
