Early voting started yesterday at the courthouse. They have the new machine that prints your ballot, no arrows to connect. You just fill in the circle. They be will getting machines for the polls in the future that will make it easier for some to understand. Please get out and vote either early at the courthouse or you polling place.

The last day for early voting at the courthouse is Monday November 2. I'm not sure about absentee voting you would need to mail it in time to get there on or before November 2nd. If you have an absentee ballot and you want to drop it off and not mail it you can do that at the courthouse on or before the 2nd also.

Is there any way of getting a copy of the ballot posted here or anywhere I can get a printed copy?  I have an elderly relative that needs to be prepared before walking into the poles.

Karen, here is a link to the county website; there are links to sample ballots. There are far too many sample ballots to post them all on here, a different ballot for each precinct apparently.

Karen, you can also look up your relative on the state site, enter the name and birthdate...it will give you the precinct info and also a link to who's on that precinct's ballot.

Absentee ballot 10/26 last day.  I can take the application to anyone who requests on.

Is 10-26 the last day to request it? I mailed my request last week and haven't received the ballot yet. I just want to be sure Monday isn't the deadline for it to be received. I usually get it within a couple of days of requesting it

I try my hardest to vote in every election. The only time I had issues was when we were overseas. Somehow my ballots never reached me in time. I heard from a lot of my military friends that they had the same problems. Even if there's only one or 2 offices to vote for, I feel that voting is something people fought long and hard for and it's not something to take for granted
