I'd have fired Pitino for the first one...

It'll be interesting to see what's going on with this one...

Quasar,

several 'astute' breakfast pundits say that Pitino will be fired.

I am not so sure.

If they do fire him,

who will be the next University of Louisville head varsity basketball coach?

That 5 million a year would be better spent beefing up state workers retirement funds.

"Bread and Circuses!

It helps we plebians forget the $19 trillion national debt and the pending collapse due to the debt and the  border invasion.

......massive unsupportable  entitlement  costs.....

Have fun !

An unconfirmed, but interesting rumor today is that Indiana University

has made quiet overtures to Coach Rick Pitino to switch to the Hoosiers

to rebuild the sagging program....

Coach Tom Crean is hanging on but AD Glass can't protect him much longer....

How about an even trade?

An even trade?

Pitino for Crean?

No boot.

A fresh start for each?

I am an avid IU, but wouldn't be if they brought in Pitino.  That would be an embarrassment...He may be a good coach, but has no morals.

Not sure how you guys know better what goes on within the U of L basketball program than Luke Hancock, Terrance Williams, and Stephan Van Treese, but they have all come out in the last couple of days and said that they don't think the stripper / prostitute is being truthful.

“I’ll say. My name is Luke Hancock, I was at least a small part of our national championship team, I lived at Billy Minardi Hall for three years, I was very close with our basketball team, I had no idea that this was happening, I would bet my life that Rick Pitino had no idea that this was happening, if it was its got to be small isolated incidents.”

I didn't even need this latest stuff to form an opinion.  All I needed was the incident at Porcini's.

You talking about the consensual sex or the attempted extortion?

I'm talking about the sex, in a booth, at a restaurant, with other people around.  Classy by anyone's stretch of the imagination.

Eh. People make mistakes. That one obviously didn't affect his job performance.

It's interesting to witness an IU fan demanding class when simply pasting in a few direct quotes from the most popular and successful coach in the entire history of their men's basketball program would probably get me banned from the Chatter for life!

So it's forgivable?

As long as he is winning, morals no longer matter?

Ask his wife. I don't see how it's any of my business.

Do you really think any other state employee could have gotten away with what he did?
