During the Sept.9th Charlestown Redevelopment meeting a motion was made by Dan James and seconded by Ruth Ann Rawlings to grant Greater Clark County Schools their request that Charlestown TIF monies be used to support our one on one initiative. The motion failed - Voting against was Bob Hall,John Spencer(Bob Hall appointee)and Ted Little(another Bob Hall appointee} Voting in favor was Dan James and Ruth Ann Rawlings. Tony Hall ( Greater Clark School Board - Board of Trustees District 2 } sent a e-mail thanking Dan James and Ruth Ann Rawlings for their support of our School system. On Sept.11th Charlestown mayor Bob Hall sent an e-mail to Tony Hall that read as follows: Mr. Tony Hall This email is to inform you that your appointment on the Charlestown redevelopment commission is being terminated effective today. as you can read in the statue below you are appointed and serve at the pleasure of the city executive, that would be the Mayor of Charlestown. Thanks for your time that you have given to fill this appointment. Per IC 36-7-4-6,1(a) the executive does appoint a non-voting adviser to the redevelopment Commission, Per 36-7-4-6,1(d) , that person must be a member of the school board of a school corporation that includes all or part of the territory served by the redevelopment commission . That appointee serves at the pleasure of the executive. Bob Hall Mayor of the City of Charlestown In this readers opinion Bob Hall shows his Real Self, this is a perfect example that Bob Hall must have total control, the mere suggestion that someone other than him comes up with an idea to help the school system seems to drive King Bob over the edge. How dare Dan James and Ruth Ann Rawlings stand for what is right and good for Greater Clark County Schools and our children! Bob Hall claims to be all for our schools, but that goes out the window when someone other than he makes a suggestion on how to spend" his" T.I.F. monies (really the monies are the city's monies not King Bob's , someone must have forgot to tell him) The termination of Tony Hall was in my opinion an obvious message to anyone who would dare to have a difference of opinion than that of King Bob. He would have terminated Dan James and Ruth Ann Rawlings as well, but they were appointed by the City Council and Bob has no control over them,I'll bet that kills" His Majesty "
The REAL Bob Hall
