The 23rd Annual Used Oil Collection Day in Clark County will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on the Clark County 4-H Fairgrounds. The event is sponsored by the Clark County Farm Bureau Inc., the Clark County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Fourteen Mile Creek Watershed Improvement Project. This is a free service to homeowners and farmers.
Used oils that will be accepted include: motor oil, transmission oil, gear oil, heating oil, and hydraulic oil. Kentucky Petroleum Recycling will be onsite to accept oils in any size containers. They will also be able to accept used oil filters. Farmers or homeowners with non-mobile containers that contain at least 55 gallons of used oil may schedule an on-farm/at-home pickup for that same day. Chris Gibson of Simplex Grinnell will be onsite that day to perform fire extinguisher inspection and servicing. A fee will be charged based on the service provided.
