The theme of the 2015 Indiana State Fair is "The Year of the Farmer"
The Indiana State Fair and Dow AgroScineces have partnered with the Indiana Association of Fairs (INAF) and Feeding Indiana's Hungry (FIsH) to implement a Farmers Care County Food Drive. The goal of Farmers Care is to raise awareness of local hunger needs and help feed Hoosier's impacted by hunger needs. 30 counties in Indiana have signed up to participate; Clark County is one of the 30. The top 5 participating county fairs will receive $200 for a future hunger initiative.
Clark County 4-H members will be participating in the Farmers Care Food Drive project during the county fair. From July 11-16th, there will be a competition between the members in each of the barns. The winning barn will receive prizes and Indiana State Fair tickets.
Visitors of the Clark County 4-H Fair who would like to encourage the 4-H members and participate in the project may bring non-perishable food items to a depository in the Food Stand Building on the 4-H Fairgrounds. Arrangements have been made for the Center for Lay Ministries to receive all of the food items collected during the drive.
Please consider making a donation and help Clark County be the #1 participating county. Farmers Care and so should we!
