I know some of you agree with this man on many if not all of his teachings. Your thoughts?

On Barack Obama...

On homosexuality...

On women and motherhood (and more on Obama)...

Because I can read. But if I'm wrong and you don't agree with him I would be interested in hearing about that as well.

Like, for instance, he says homosexuality is a choice. Unless I'm mistaken, that's what you think also. Is that correct?

I supposed someone who is pro-life could post a picture of an aborted fetus at eight months of gestation, claim they know some people here agree with that and ask for their thoughts, but it would be a pretty dickish attempted initiation of discourse.

Why?

Because your post implies that other members hold the same views as this person that you obviously disapprove of. Then you are trying to force another member into a position based on your original post...

Basically it's a pile of...  :poo-emoticon:

But carry on if you feel the need to... others can play along if they wish...

Honest answer.....

Just from reading the titles of the videos, i am not going to watch them.

Thinking that you know others agree with the videos is a pretty far reach.

Thinking that you know how others feel is also a far reach.

Summary?

Looks like someone wants to argue.....

For the sake of it and starting with basically a stated assumption your opponents are bigoted idiots? Was that ever a good thing on here?

Now who is making assumptions? These videos struck a chord with me because, believe it or not, I have heard some of that same rhetoric here in the Chatter. "Homosexuality is a choice". "Obama thinks he is a king". It's all been said in this forum before. Maybe it just sounds more ridiculous when someone else is saying it.

Sorry.  I thought a lot of people's post were to state an opinion and get a discussion started.  When people didn't agree that was

argument..or (more gently) 'debate'.

Meanwhile,  I get it.  These statements are really ugly so no one wants to be associated with them. However, when I have seen

this guy on the internet with these provocations,  it has seemed to me that he is baldly stating what others believe but are

too 'politically correct' to say themselves.  Maybe I am wrong.

He says stuff like gay is a choice and is horrible.  He says Obama is evil and stuff like that.  But his 'style' is so up front that

it is repugnant to a lot of people.  Similarly,  I see Al Sharpton (another reverend) being tossed up into progressive's or 'liberal's'  faces and

challenges issued to acknowledge his stuff.  So I guess I see this thread's OP as, yes, a provocation...but not an unfair one.

It didn't start with an opinion on an issue. It started with an opinion on other people here's assumed opinions on issues.

I missed the Chatter thread where someone posted a Sharpton video and made their comments a challenge to others here with an assumption they agree with him.

Yeah.  I am referring to other forums like facebook.  The Chatter has had some ugly episodes..perhaps you will agree.

I tried to be careful with my introduction. That's why I said "some of you". But I apologize if people were still offended by it. Did you hear that everyone? I said I APOLOGIZE. Let me say that one more time...I am sorry for my awkward language in the first post. Okay?

Now...how about those videos? What do you think about those comments Pastor Anderson made about homosexuality being a choice? Or what do you all think about his comments about Obama?

I don't think homosexuality is a choice.  I am pretty sure it isn't.  I am 100% sure I didn't choose to be straight.

I think his comments about Obama are repugnant and made to get attention.

"People in America are scared to death and trembling! Saying 'Oh God! What is he going to do to our country? Are we going to be able to survive? Oh God! Is he going to give us freedom or is he going to allow us to go into the depths of socialism and communism with Barack Obama?'"

"The government's job is to punish criminals and to execute those who've committed capital crime"

"Obama was mentored by a communist pornographer named Frank Marshall Davis"

"Obama's birth certificate was proven to be a fraud."

"Our President now is a total communist. He's this leftist radical communist in the White House."

"[Racism] is just something that people use to try to hide behind in order to not allow any criticism of this wicked apostate devil, Barack Hussein Obama."

"The devil is a liar and the devil is a murderer and Obama is both."

I have the guts to say that I agree with the last one!
