With the white flag weather conditions of last week, and Exit 0's extensive efforts, I know of no homeless individual, in Jeff, losing their life (or toes!)  Many thanks to Pastor Don at First Presbyterian in downtown Jeff for opening their gym to house the vulnerable. Thanks to Dennis Julius, American Red Cross, the Jeff Police & Fire Departments for their contributions.  Thank you to Exit 0 & Haven House for their efforts to shelter those in need.  And, blessings to all the volunteers and churches, whether through donations or time, who helped with the plight of the homeless.

Bless you all!

i read somewhere, not sure where, that the homeless would be able to come in to the Exit 0 space on Spring Street to use as a warming station. Is this a new thing? or have they always been able to utilize that space like that?

Great Question Snowman ...... We have utilized this location due to bad weather to get folks out of the elements.... Example is yesterday at 4 PM the Library shut down this is were several hang out to stay warm after that some came to the building then at 6 30 they went to head to the only dinner for the community to the local church next to old town only to find out they decided they were not showing up due to the weather and no note on door to give awareness... So once again these folks had somewhere to come to to get out of the weather...... Also after we shut down First pres we housed roughly 10 untill like 3 days ago and once again last night and tonight will be housing a handful who are living in tents outdoors...... Thank you to Everyone who helps the forgotten .....
