I'm looking for a new carry gun... I think I'm going to get a Ruger LC9s Pro.

The original LC9 had an awful trigger... the striker fired model is much better...  the pro version gets rid of the side safety and the mag lock which pretty much makes this perfect in my book.

I've had a couple... great pistol... ugly though... I won't rule out getting one of the sub compacts at some point. I've had the larger frames...

And when did you become a Glock guy? I thought you liked 1911's best?

I've fired both models of the LC9, and I actually like the original better. I have a Taurus 745 that has nearly an identical trigger pull, so that's probably why I was drawn to it. I carry the 745 at work, and have run thousands of rounds through it, so I'm just used to it, I guess. The S model I have handled had a hair trigger magazine release, I mean, it would drop the mag while you were firing it! The owner of that gun will not carry it now, due to the magazine release. He's tried several different holsters, and is in process of sending it back to Ruger to see whats up. That, admittedly is my one and only experience with the S, so he most likely just got an oddball, and Ruger will fix it, for sure, but it really turned me off. My son has the standard LC9, and since he was familiar with that type of trigger, seems to like it.

For the record, I'm a Ruger fanboy, Ruger is all I carry while not at work.
