Good Morning Charlestown and environs. I lived on Tunnel Mill Road just past the scout camp for the first 17 years and maybe the best years of my life, then on Main St (corner of Main and Main Cross), next  on to first house after I was wed which was on Main Cross....finally on High Jackson Rd. on a small farm where I was fortunate enough to raise my children. I am doing some genealogy research trying to find the family who owned and ran Bethany Gardens in the late 40's through the 50's.  I can't even find what township it is in, the address is 8911 Hwy 62, Charlestown. Of course i am new at this and 70 years old might be a bit late but it is something to do. Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks

I lived in Bethany Farms for a short period, not too far from Bethany Gardens. At that time we were in Utica Township and had a Charlestown address. Hope this helps, and good luck.

And welcome to the chatter!

I checked my plat books. That area is only listed as "small tracts".

Anything east of the Bethany Road & Hwy 62 intersection has always been in Charlestown Township.

(as early as 1876) The township border line runs along Bethany Road.
