sounds good -- we will need some sturdy bowls to serve it in. If Paul doesn't have any sturdy ones, perhaps someone who hasn't committed to anything yet would volunteer to pick some up. If not, I will get some.

I like GFS and Sams although most stuff is way to much for just us unless company is going to be here. The potatoes are in sort of a bucket, and then in a bag inside of that. Don't remember how many it serves so if we need more than one let us know. I didn't care if that was what we used but they sure are easy for a bunch.

i've tried the ones from Bob Evans and they are awesome... any kind of instant mashed potatoes are probably fine, butter can improve anything! and of course beef stew over the top, should do wonders also.

I talked to my brother today. He works for a well known local (Clarksville) restaurant. They will donate 60 already-baked potatoes for us for the March event.

Well, it's coming up on our dinner date. Seems like we have everything covered. Trying to remember everything! Beef stew is covered, cabbage and/or brussel sprouts, both baked and mashed potatoes, desserts, snacks and fruit, cornbread...

Tina, will we need marg and sour cream for baked potatoes? BTW, thank your brother for donating the potatoes!

Is 4 PM a good arrival time for the first arrivals? I know the cornbread will need baking; and the mashed pots will be made at the church. If anyone else is cooking at the church and needs an earlier arrival time, please let me know.

5:00 as usual. Fruit as usual. lol! I do also have plates if we need 'em. I'm guessing if we are serving corn bread we won't be needing rolls? I can grab some. What do you think?

Might not hurt to bring some rolls, too, CW, in case the number of folks served grows again! Not a lot, maybe a couple dozen. I'l have 60 pieces of cornbread.

I will make sure someone can take care of this or I will try to work something out. Unfortunately I'm sick and won't be able to make deserts for tomorrow. Can someone else supply deserts? I would be glad to reimburse anyone.
Thanks please let me know Melissa

I'm sorry you're sick, backinthegame. We'll miss you tonight. I'll head out to GFS and buy a couple of cakes. They won't be nearly as good as yours, of course, but they'll be quick to get.

I hope you are better soon.  :flowers:
