Actually, one of my favorite coffee creamers is called sweet Italian creme! It's yum! I have a handheld frothy thing to make lattes. It wouldn't take me anytime to make 'me up! That's the only way I drink coffee!

Italian theme is cool. Could do pizza, garlic bread, salad... One of the ladies there last night mentioned she was trying to go vegan (she ate mac&cheese though, so I think she meant vegetarian.)

I've been promising Patricia some salmon croquettes. I've never made them before but I'm going to see if I can find a way to make them Italian! Lol!

I will also bring some flavored creamer and coffee.

Tina you could roll them in Italian bread crumbs.

Whatever the menu is to be I think we should check with Paul to see if he has any supplies we could use. I missed a message he sent that he had hot dogs for January and I bought them. Don't mind buying them but could have gotten something else someone could have used.

I got all my supplies for the chocolate suckers. What is the average turn out and how many helpers? I want to make sure I have a few for everyone!

I would make 40 to 50 to be on the safe side. Let some others chime in before you go with my prediction:)

So, folks, are we agreed on an Italian theme? And do we agree to see what Paul has in donations to offer for the meal? And do we want to decorate the tables? What all will we have on the menu?

I will get the garlic bread and we can bake it at the church. I know backinthegame said she would take care of desserts and IM will do snacks. Tina mentioned salmon croquettes...

How about a salad? Think that would be good? Any veggies?

I will call Paul today, too. He may have spaghetti sauce snowman can use for his lasagna, maybe some canned veggies we can use.

I will be in Indianapolis for 3 days that week, so I won't be able to make this months dinner. I can take supplies to Kelley before I head out of town, but it won't be salmon croquettes this month. Just tell me what we need.

I will add to the desert selection with some white chocolate suckers all individually wrapped so they can take some with them if they wish.

Will you? I hear Indy is lovely in January.

Lent starts March 5th, maybe that would be a good month to feature fish on the menu? The Italian theme for February sounds great!

I'll bring ... I'll bring ... dang. What should I bring? Definitely bananas, as usual, but what else? Salad dressings? Alice mentioned more trays. I can pick up 40 of those too. Please, someone make a decision for me! lol!

CW -- they really like the bananas and oranges. Paul said that they rarely get them at other meal sites. I noticed while working the "snack" area that many people take more than one. Also, I don't have any trays left -- maybe someone else has the leftovers - don't know; but I think more trays would be good. I also plan to bring some more candy and "baggies" --- they love the candy "treat" so if anyone else wants to bring a little candy, I can use it in making the treat bags.
