I miss Po'Folks!  My parents took us there often as kids and it was one of my first jobs.

I had to quit after a week or two because some genius in hiring decided to put a 5 foot, barely 100 lb 16 year old as a food runner (carrying trays that weighed more than me)!  I hyperventilated twice and quit.  LOL!

You go Girl!  This should be fun!  Where Kroger is, used to be K mart and there was a giant slide where a Frisches used to be!  Burlap sacks took the place of
speaker phones and cruisin'.  And Triangle Drive featured a Putt-Putt![

Oh man! I totally forgot about that huge slide with the burlap bags. It was right in front of where Morrison's Chiropractor is now, wasn't it? And that building itself was some kind of really good cafeteria style restaurant like The Blue Boar, or something like that.

And I played that Putt Putt course many times at Triangle Drive...right behind where Tuesday Morning is now. I think there was even another miniature golf place approximately where the old Biggs parking lot is now, behind the Bob Evans area. Do you remember that there was an original Steak-n-Shake at that Triangle Drive area too....kind of where Pep Boys is now. It shut down, was gone for years and years and then re-established where it is now.

Which one? Lakewood or Clarksville ?  

Can you believe there were two drive-in theaters in this area at one time? Nowadays, you're lucky to find two in an entire state. Raise your hand anyone, if you're guilty of ever driving in to one of those theaters with a person in the passenger seat and 6 or so of your friends crammed in the trunk and trying to get in for free....and not always succeeding. Those were the days !

There was one in New Albany also. Home Depot is there now.

Actuallly there were three Drive-Ins New Albany right on State Street Where Target and Home Depot is now.  Also if ya wanted to go country you could go to Georgetown.  We were definitely not short on outside movie viewing LOL

There was a putt-putt course where Long John Silvers was there a Burger Chef in Cville at one time?

The little ice cream shop behind Colgate-Yummy's, I think?  Best chocolate soft serve ever!
The water slide where Tom Stinnett's is now, the floating rooms on the Marriott lake.  It being safe
to ride my bike to those areas from Jeff.

It started out as the Banquet Table and then was renamed the King's Table.  It was my first job and do I have some great memories of working there!  Lots of kids on staff, good workers and we got to listen to the radio in the kitchen . . . WAKY with Bill Bailey!

My hand is up!  Being rather small, I was one of those IN the trunk!  LOL!!!

Yeah, but the mosquito bites I got at Clarksville were HUGE!  Those suckers must've been produced from radioactive fallout!!!

I went to McCullough for one year (St Anthony the rest).  I was going to say I remember when Pep Boys was a school!

The air field was where they parked school buses.
