CLARK COUNTY OHIO RIVER & SILVER CREEK SWEEP
A Community Effort to Remove Debris Providing a Cleaner, Safer Environment for Everyone!
Save the date: Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Falls of the Ohio State Park, Ashland Park, Lapping Park, and Charlestown State Park
Who: Scouts, community/civic/student organizations, families, and individuals who would like to help make a difference in the community are encouraged to participate. Permission forms need to be signed in advance for groups with minors. Families with kids can fill out the form at check in. To request a form call Carol Huff, at the Clarksville Stormwater Department, at 283-8233-and press 3.
Details: Check in begins at 8:30 a.m. Gloves, trash bags, water, a FREE 2012 ORSANCO tee shirt, and FREE admission to Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center will be provided. Larger, more durable trash bags will be distributed this year, and extra tee have been ordered to ensure that no one has to wait for one.
NEW THIS YEAR: Volunteers can cool down from the heat with a mist system that will be set up at the Falls of the Ohio State Park location!
